Pastor Reagan Sommers is a native of Ohio and came to Augusta after serving on staff with Youth With A Mission from 1994-2000. During that time God continued to develop Reagan’s heart for God’s Word and evangelism. There he was able to travel the world sharing the gospel. He spent a year in Mauritania, Africa, in the heart of the Sahara Desert before returning to the states in 2000 to marry his wife, Joy. Joy grew up at New Hope and so New Hope became home to them. They have 3 children Taylor, McKenzie, and Noah.
In the last 20 years God has continued to provide opportunities for The Sommers to serve and grow in our church and in our community. Reagan has been on several boards and continued to travel abroad furthering New Hope’s footprint globally to spread the gospel to the nations. He has been honored to speak at conferences and other houses of worship. With the heart of an Evangelist and the role of a Pastor, Reagan is leading with his passion for the lost and he is equipping the church to BE THE CHURCH.
