Here at New Hope we believe that life is best done in circles, not rows… meaning that the best life is the one lived in community! God has created us to share our lives with others and that is why we are a church of Connect Groups.
Pastor Bowen came to New Hope in 1975 when the congregation was in rapid decline. The majority of the church was over the age of sixty with very few young families. It was in this context, that God called Pastor Bowen to serve as Senior Pastor. While continuing to serve the aging congregation with love and commitment, he placed a renewed emphasis on young families. Since that time, the Lord has blessed the church with tremendous growth and progress.
Along with his wife Faye, they have continued to strike the balance between remaining faithful to older generations and relevant to new rising generations. Through their loving leadership, God has raised a church that is determined to serve both the local community and the globe.
Pastor Bowen is an ordained bishop in the Church of God and has received a Doctorate of Religious Education from Southern Bible Seminary. He has also served on several ministry boards including the National Twelve Board of Bethany World Prayer Center, the National Pastoral Advisory Council and Evangelism Board, the Board of Youth and Christian Education and the State Council of North Georgia. He and his wife Faye have two sons, four wonderful grandchildren and now six amazing great grandchildren.
