Trip overview.

This trip combines practical service, children’s ministry, cross-cultural relationships, and support for ongoing Bible translation and discipleship work. Ministry partners are YWAM Panama-Boquete, an Oral Bible Translation ministry, and Project 143 Foundation.

  • Visit and serve within a Ngabe community.
  • Participate in children’s ministry and community outreach.
  • Encourage a local Ngabe pastor, church, and ministry leaders.
  • Support the Oral Bible Translation ministry and pray for access to Scripture in heart languages.
  • Complete a small construction, repair, or maintenance project assigned by the host team.

The exact village will be assigned by YWAM Panama-Boquete.

See where the team will serve.

Teams plan to arrive through Tocumen International Airport (PTY) in Panama City, with a possible overnight near the airport, then continue to Enrique Malek International Airport (DAV) in David, Chiriqui Province.

The YWAM Panama-Boquete base is at La Calle Esperanza, Potrerillos Arriba, Chiriqui Province, in the Boquete/David region. Additional local church, children’s ministry, or community project sites in Chiriqui will be confirmed by the host team.

Home base for YWAM Panama-Boquete. Outreach in the Comarca Ngabe-Bugle or a nearby Ngabe community will be assigned closer to the trip.

A clear path before you go.

The trip fee is $950 plus airfare. YWAM Panama-Boquete typically coordinates food, housing, in-country transportation, ministry planning, and translation for hosted teams. Final 2027 inclusions, insurance coverage, and the payment deadline will be confirmed before registration opens.

Plan for possible additional expenses such as airfare, meals on travel days, passport fees, souvenirs, and any insurance or travel costs not included in the final registration package. Exact March dates and the registration link are still being finalized.
