Our Beliefs
Our faith is rooted in Scripture and centered on Jesus Christ. These beliefs express the biblical convictions that guide our worship, discipleship, and life together at New Hope Worship Center.
We believe the Bible is God’s inspired, infallible, and authoritative Word—revealing His character, His will, and His plan for humanity. It is the ultimate guide for faith and life, teaching us what is true, showing us what is wrong, and equipping us for every good work.

We believe in one God, eternally existent in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. He is the Creator of all things, sovereign over all, and perfect in love, holiness, and justice.
Genesis 1:1; Matthew 28:19; 1 John 5:7
We believe Jesus Christ is the eternal Son of God—fully God and fully man—who came to earth, lived a sinless life, died on the cross for our sins, and rose again in victory. Through His sacrifice, we are offered forgiveness, salvation, and new life.

We believe salvation is a gift of grace received by faith in Jesus Christ. The new birth—being “born again”—brings forgiveness of sins, spiritual renewal, and eternal life. This transformation occurs through repentance and faith in Christ alone.

We believe in the person and work of the Holy Spirit, who dwells within every believer to comfort, convict, empower, and guide. The baptism of the Holy Spirit empowers believers for witness and service, and the gifts of the Spirit remain active and available for the strengthening of the Church today.

We believe God still heals today. Christ’s work on the cross made provision for healing—spirit, soul, and body. We affirm prayer, anointing with oil, and the laying on of hands as biblical practices through which God brings wholeness.
Isaiah 53:5; 1 Peter 2:24; James 5:14–15
We believe followers of Jesus are called to grow in grace and maturity, becoming more like Christ through the work of the Holy Spirit. This lifelong process—often called sanctification—is marked by increasing love, obedience, and spiritual fruit.
2 Peter 3:18; Galatians 5:22–23; Romans 12:1–2
We believe the Church is the body of Christ, made up of all who have placed their faith in Him. The Church exists to glorify God, reach those who are far from Him, disciple believers, and serve others in love.
Matthew 28:19–20; Acts 2:42–47; Ephesians 4:11–13
We believe in two primary sacraments: Water Baptism and Holy Communion.
Water Baptism is an outward expression of an inward transformation, symbolizing our identification with Christ’s death, burial, and resurrection.

Holy Communion, also called the Lord’s Supper, is a sacred act of remembrance in which we celebrate the sacrifice of Jesus and the new covenant we share with Him.
Luke 22:19–20; 1 Corinthians 11:23–26
We believe in the blessed hope of eternal life through Jesus Christ. Those who place their faith in Him will spend eternity with God in heaven, while those who reject His grace face eternal separation. Heaven and hell are both real and eternal.
