Baja Homes of Hope

Join our team as we partner with Homes of Hope to build a safe, secure home for a family in need, then visit and serve children at Casa Hogar in Maneadero.

Trip overview.

We will partner with YWAM San Diego/Baja Homes of Hope, Guarderia Dios Provehera A.C. & Casa Hogar, and Project 143 Foundation. Casa Hogar provides free daycare and residential care for children whose families are experiencing difficult circumstances.

  • Build a home for a family in need alongside Homes of Hope staff and local builders.
  • Visit and serve children and staff at Casa Hogar in Maneadero.
  • Encourage local ministry leaders and share God’s love through practical service and relationships.

The team will fly domestically into San Diego, California. Team pickup and ground transportation into Baja are planned.

The YWAM San Antonio del Mar campus is at Km 22.5 Carretera Escenica Tijuana-Ensenada, San Antonio del Mar, Tijuana, Baja California 22566, Mexico, between Tijuana and Rosarito. Guarderia Dios Provehera A.C. & Casa Hogar is at Parcela 249 parte alta, Maneadero, Baja California 22790, Mexico.

The Homes of Hope build site will be a family home in the Tijuana/Rosarito area. The exact neighborhood and family assignment will come from Homes of Hope closer to departure.

Prepare

A clear path before you go.

The $1,150 trip fee is planned to cover accommodations in Baja and San Diego, ground transportation in Baja and San Diego, meals on ministry days, ministry expenses, local builders and host support, translators, a free-time activity, and a Homes of Hope T-shirt. Airfare is separate. Full payment is expected one month before departure unless the registration details state otherwise.

Possible additional expenses include airfare, meals on travel days, passport fees, travel insurance, travel to the departure airport, souvenirs, and optional activities. The registration link and final airfare process still need to be posted.
